Very OK
Very OK was a t-shirt project I originally started with Melissa Ladiona. Since, it’s been a channel for collaborating with other artists on creating a design for production. We’ve dyed and screen printed all the shirts we’ve made so far by hand, and have made small runs to be sold at the the SF book fair with Eggy Press, and with D3i in Shanghai/Beijing.
Bok Choy
The most recent t-shirt I’ve worked on was with Julianne Villegas, a bay area artist who attended CCA. If you looked through our instagram pages you’d definitely think we’re biased towards kumquats and papaya, but let’s be real, the cutest piece of produce is the bok choy.
This underutilized vegetable is not only doing its best to protect you from cancer and give you a natural example of a perfect gradient but it’s also cute enough to inspire Julianne and I to create a series of t-shirts about it. And what better way to display it than by referencing some of the aesthetics of a traditional plastic grocery bag? (PS we hid a recipe on the inside of the shirt)
